Níveis 1–8
Keep the wave close enough to your tower that an opponent must walk into a long lane. Use 2 between attacks and land the outer edge of 1: the inner hit does not provide the same healing window. Avoid spending 3 just to poke a mobile rival who can escape your follow-up. Against range, accept a missed minion rather than losing the health needed for an actual all-in. Since 7.3 Darius starts with 45 armor instead of 52 and gains 148 health per level instead of 144, so physical poke in the first levels hurts more than it used to, while the late game is slightly sturdier.
- Reference build: Stridebreaker → Sterak's Gage → Amaranth's Twinguard → Death's Dance → Force of Nature.
- Summoner spells: Flash + Ghost.
- Ghost helps maintain contact after an opening; it does not solve a fight taken without vision or against every enemy escape at once.

Níveis 9–15
Enter after enemy disengage tools have been used or approach from an unwarded angle with your team. Build bleed stacks on a reachable target before looking for a reset. An ultimate cast that fails to finish a target can cost your fight, so track shields and defensive cooldowns. If your own carry is threatened, pulling a diver away can be worth more than chasing a distant marksman.
- Buy Plated Steelcaps or Mercury’s Treads for the actual damage threat. Death’s Dance has cost 3300 since 7.3a: delay it when immediate magic resistance or anti-heal matters more. If you run Grasp of the Undying, 7.3b lowered it to 3% of your max health (was 3.3%) and cut its health growth from 10 to 8; for the long trades this plan is built on, Conqueror is our pick, on our own reading of the rune.
